The Basics of Facebook Dating
Firstly, go to the Facebook application, click the top right of the screen and select Dating. You will probably need to click on the See More button if you don’t see the Dating page. Then you’ll be switching to the Facebook Dating tab. Click Get Started and follow the on-screen profile instructions. You need to indicate the gender you’re looking for, location and a nice photograph.
From here, by scanning your non-dating profile, Facebook automatically generates a dating profile for you. Then, by clicking the Preview Profile option you can change the profile exactly how you want it by removing things, adding images and including posts from your Instagram. Click “Done” when you are finished.
What Comes Next?
You are now going to receive matches from Facebook. It may take a few days for this step. Don’t panic, your current friends won’t be suggested by Facebook and nobody outside the Facebook dating section is going to see your dating content. You should receive a notification when you get a match Tap the heart icon on the dating feed if you like the person you match.
To start a conversation with a match, you need to tap their profile which will lead to an option to send a message. Tap the arrow icon to send the message once you’re satisfied with what you’ve written.If you wish to match with people with the same interests as you, go to the menu and tap on suggestions from your events or groups, then choose an event or a group to see suggested matches.
How to Create Secret Crushes
You can use secret crushes if you have a crush on someone and want Facebook to help you meet him/her. The Secret Crush feature lets you add your Facebook friends or Instagram followers to your list and Facebook will notify them that they have a crush, considering they have a Facebook Dating profile. If you both add each other as a crush, you’ll be notified of each other. If your crush doesn’t add you, no one will know about your crush.
