Can You See Amount of Likes You Received on Facebook?

Facebook made significant changes to its platform, and they have phased out the traditional “Like” system, where users could see the number of likes on individual posts. Instead, Facebook has shifted towards emphasizing reactions (such as “Like,” “Love,” “Haha,” “Wow,” “Sad,” and “Angry”) as well as engagement metrics like comments and shares.

Here’s how you can view the reactions and engagement metrics on your Facebook posts:

  1. Login to Facebook: Open your web browser, go to www.facebook.com, and log in to your Facebook account with your username and password.
  2. Access Your Profile: Click on your profile picture or your name at the top left corner to go to your profile.
  3. View a Post: Scroll down to find the post you want to check the reactions and engagement for.
  4. Reactions and Comments: Under the post, you’ll see icons representing reactions (like, love, haha, etc.) and the number of each reaction. Additionally, you’ll see the number of comments and shares.
  5. Click on the Reactions: To see a breakdown of the individual reactions, click on the total number of reactions (e.g., “12 reactions”). This will display the names and profile pictures of people who reacted to the post and the specific reactions they used.
  6. View Insights (for Pages): If you manage a Facebook Page, you can also access more detailed insights for your posts. Click on “Insights” at the top of your Page and then select “Posts” on the left sidebar. Here, you can see detailed engagement metrics, including likes, comments, shares, and the specific reactions received for each post.

It’s important to note that Facebook continually updates its features and user interface, so the process may change or evolve over time. Additionally, Facebook may have introduced new features or changes after my last knowledge update in January 2022. Therefore, it’s a good practice to explore Facebook’s Help Center or their official resources for the most up-to-date information on viewing engagement metrics and reactions on your posts.
